Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • Do I have to switch my doctor to receive my treatment at PACE Healthcare?

Absolutely not! With your current medical provider, once we have received your order from your current doctor’s office, we coordinate your care by quickly obtaining your pre-authorization with your insurance provider for your specific treatment.  Once you have received treatment at PACE, we then do regular 360-degree communication with your doctor’s office (e.g., sharing your infusion or injection therapy notes from our facility with your doctor’s office, etc.)  each time you visit PACE.

  • Where is your office located?

Our main office is conveniently located in Wooster Ohio. We are just minutes from nearly anywhere in Wayne County.

  • Medicare Advantage Questions

Many time patients think that their Medicare Advantage plan will cover all medical expenses.  But the specialty pharmacy items that we administer most often require a 20% copayment.   We can provide a close estimate to the out of pocket expense that you will have to pay.  Just ask us for an estimate!

  • I need an IV but my medication is not listed. Can I get it at Pace?

Pace can administer most IV medications.  However some classes like some chemotherapy are not well suited for a location like ours.  Pace can provide immunologic cancer treatments but not the traditional "chemotherapy" most people think of related to cancer care.

  • Why wont my doctor give me this in their office

Most of the medications that we give are very expensive. They require a lot of background work to make sure that the insurance will cover them. Physician offices try to focus on coordinating care and remaining efficient.  Following up on paperwork for medications is not efficient for them.  At Pace we have developed specialized processes that allow us to efficiently track the paperwork and authorizations saving your physician a lot of headaches.

  • Does my doctor get paid to refer to Pace?

Unlike physicians who give IV's in their offices, physicians that refer to Pace benefit from reduced paperwork and benefits hassles.  physicians who do give medications in their office are allowed to markup the cost of the drug and billl your insurance.   When a provider refers to Pace, they do not get any compensation for referring to Pace.  Likewise, the prescribing provider gets nothing from drug company when they prescribe your medications. Pay for referrals is strictly illegal.
